Definition of suspense: the build up of what is going to happen, it makes the audience what to find out what is going to happen next. It is the feeling of uncertainty and anxiety.

suspended means they are being held captive in an emotional state by the movie... it is dictating how the audience should feel and how they should react to what is being played on the screen. movies use suspense to keep the audience hooked, to keep the interested.


  


This film made me feel anxious because
they never revealed what is wrong with her
until the end, they built it up and made me scared 
for the other characters.
